BOWERHAM PHARMACY - LANCASTER, LA

I try not to write reviews when furious. This is going to have to be an exception.

I went into an understaffed pharmacy today because, having dropped off my measurements two weeks ago after earlier chasing-up of a prescription first ordered in June - JUNE - I expected the two week turnaround to be done.

I found someone manning the counter who didn't know the system and had to refer everything to the one pharmacist present. OK, fair enough. It's a Saturday. Short-staffing is a concern.

I am referred to the pharmacist. They think the measurements might be an an email. I tell them that I dropped off the measurements in person two weeks ago and that I just want to know if they have it or if I should call back on Tuesday. They ignore me and go to the computer. Another customer comes in; the pharmacist drops checking on my stuff to serve them. Then back to me. Then the phone rings. I respect that the pharmacist has to be the one who answers the phone. I wait.

Two other people come in and pick up prescriptions, which is fine, they could be processed by the other guy. Then someone else gets referred to the pharmacist after he gets off the phone.

The pharmacist serves HER first too. So that's two people, not including the phone call, that needed his attention and jumped my queue to get it.

The measurements are found. I am told they had been queried. I ask why this query did not come to me. I am told I was phoned. I have checked my phone record; I can absolutely guarantee you I was not phoned between dropping off my measurements and going in to resolve it.

I am told it's being faced through now, but they can't tell me how long it's going to take.

They will not be my pharmacy any more once I've finished this.

Awful rude pharmacist. This place has gone totally rubbish since Trevor Donaldson retired. Did myself the best thing and moved to Higher Greaves
