I`ve been using a "Weller" 8200D "Dual Heat" soldering iron [240v, 100 / 140w ] for over 30 years in the motor trade with no problems. I`m now on only my 4th "tip". A SUPER PRODUCT, in my experience. Some years ago, it was dragged off my bench and a small chunk was knocked out of the plastic casing, but has it continued to work satisfactorily. I enquired about a replacement, but found that the "dual heat" model had become "obsolete". Last week i found an almost unused Weller 8200 D for £4 !! so i now have a spare. Realistically, i probably won`t be "looking down at the grass" any more by the time the original product fails !! Mr Garlick, Preston.
