DATATRACK PUBLICATIONS - DUDLEY, WE

They approached us first via text from a number listed as spam then followed by a phone call and a visit. During the visit the guy said his internet was not connecting so i offered for him to log onto our wifi so that he could show us the website he was selling services for but he just continued talking. When at the point he wanted paying straight away after a short sales pitch I said that I wanted to investigate who he and Data Track Publications are first before paying, he then looked decidely uncomfortable. After he left I looked them up, they don't seem to even exist?! They are not listed anywhere but on here, the address on the website is attached to 83 other companies, the original company connected to this name appear to have changed: DATATRACK PUBLICATIONS LIMITED has been renamed to INFOLINK PUBLICATIONS LIMITED at the address on the website but the invoice he wrote out had another address and was called Gateway Datatrack Publications at Gateway house, 4 Edward Street, Birmingham. That address doesn't exist either and Gateway House is in fact 53 High Street, Birmingham with the company not listed there either. The sales guy had no linkedin, facebook, twitter etc links. I think its fair to say they are scammers, at least do your research before paying them any money

I know this is an old forum, but feel I have to comment for others to see. Stay clear of Data Track! They are the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They are happy to take your money but won't then send you lists of contacts each month as per their agreement. In 12 months they have only sent 4 lists, even after I have sent many emails and made many phone calls chasing them up. When you ring them you will eventually get to speak to D***, who has the worst attitude ever. Basically he sees it that it is the customers responsibility to chase it up every month and not theirs to actually fulfil their pledge. The final icing on the cake is them now taking us to the small claims court for not paying their renewal fee. Will be straight forward as we have all the emails and communications chasing them throughout the year, but still it's a real pain You've been warned!
